Lapis lazuli forms when lazurite, calcite and pyrite crystallize together under heat and pressure deep in the earth. The royal blue is lazurite, the white streaks are calcite and the gold flecks are pyrite, so every stone carries its own pattern.

In crystal tradition, lapis lazuli is believed to enhance wisdom, intuition and clear communication while encouraging self-awareness and inner truth. It is closely associated with the Third Eye chakra, said to support spiritual insight and higher consciousness.
