A little broom of black crystal.
Black kyanite fan
Blades that spread like a fan.
Striking black blades radiate from a single point into a rough, glinting fan. Black kyanite forms when aluminum-rich rock is transformed by intense heat and pressure deep in the earth, and its crystals grow into these distinctive shapes.

Form
Rough crystal fan
Found in
The USA, Brazil, Burma (Myanmar), India, Kenya, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the former Yugoslavia

The witches' broom
A shape with a story.
In folklore, black kyanite's shape earned it the name "Witches Broom". It was believed to sweep away negative energy blocking the chakras and auric field, and once that energy was cleared, it was said you were free to fly high on your crystalline broom.
In crystal tradition, the fan shape is said to enhance a crystal's energy: promoting positive energy flow, removing negativity and symbolizing openness and expansion. A fan is also used to direct energy and focus intentions.
A stone of protection.
Black kyanite is known in crystal tradition as a stone of protection, grounding and energy clearing. It is said to vibrate at a high frequency, creating an energy field that clears adverse energies, and to support psychic abilities and dream recall.
It is believed to absorb and transmute negative energy, clear energy blockages, align and balance the chakras and support emotional healing, which makes it a favorite of energy workers and anyone deepening their spiritual practice. It is associated with all the chakras, most of all the Root chakra.
Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty, history and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical effect.
