The color gathers deepest at the tip, then drifts down the wand in purple veils, lavender clouds and clear quartz. It is one of our most loved pieces.
Amethyst is quartz that grew slowly inside cavities of volcanic rock, colored purple by trace iron and natural irradiation. Dark amethyst like this comes from Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia and Madagascar, and each crystal is shaped and polished to bring out its own patterns and inclusions.
